Art photo walk to the TAMTAM exposition

Kunstenlab Deventer asked us to devise a link between the exhibition De Staat Van (The State Of) —on view at the Bergkerk from July 18 to September 20— and our own exhibition, The Secret Life Of Objects , at Museum Eicas in Deventer.
We created an art photo walk connecting the two locations:

Here is the link to the route

This artwork features photos taken in various cities where TAMTAM performed—Dresden, Toulouse, and Genoa, for example.
For the Scars Of The City project at De Staat Van, we devised a route consisting of close-ups of walls in Deventer, captured along the path between the Bergkerk and Eicas.
Inside the Bergkerk itself, the photos are already on display as a video installation on two screens.

Giving value to the worthless
The photographs—depicting unremarkable sections of walls and structures—are intended to inspire viewers to look at their surroundings in a new way.
The aim is to inspire walkers, as they follow the route, to look for more unique sights that usually go unnoticed.
Because that is the central theme of TAMTAM’s work: giving value to the worthless—to the weathered, the discarded, and the seemingly insignificant.

You can easily find and follow the route via this link.
Come along for the walk and see Deventer through the eyes of Studio TAMTAM!
Naturally, the route can also be walked in reverse, from Eicas to the Bergkerk.
Have fun spotting the photographed objects!
